The Disabilities Living Centre, a registered charity, was established in October 1987 and is a member of Assist UK. It is situated adjacent to the Integrated Community Equipment Store. We provide information, advice and assessments on equipment and services for disabled people, elderly people, their carers and professional staff. There is ample parking with some spaces reserved for disabled persons vehicles, level access and a disabled persons toilet. The centre is staffed by Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants.
The centre runs a free service which is open to all. An appointment is essential. Please telephone the centre on 0115 9855780 to arrange an appointment. Our aim is to provide comprehensive and highly specialised advice and information.

There is a comprehensive range of equipment on permanent display in the centre including beds, chairs, bathing and showering equipment, wheelchairs, scooters, stairlifts and small equipment.
